The Look & Find the Amazing Spider-Man cover
was one of my first children’s book projects at Publications
International, Ltd. (My earlier projects were mostly stationery
and “gift” products.) It was actually an update
of an older Look & Find title, with a new cover and
new lettering. I also restored the deteriorated art in spots
and retouched the interior artwork to sanitize a couple
of "risqué" images the original artist
had managed to slip in.
I worked on over half a dozen Look & Find projects at
PIL in some capacity or another. On some, such as the ones
shown here, I thumbnailed the covers for the illustrator.
In addition to designing the book, I also wrote Look &
Find Finding Nemo (which you can read here).
